Thank you for visiting cookandbutler.co.uk, the online home of Cook & Butler (Trading) Ltd., trading as Cook & Butler (“we”, “us” or “our”).

These terms set out the practicalities of shopping with us — from placing your order to returning something that’s not quite right. They’re here to protect both of us, and we’ve written them with clarity and fairness in mind.

By using this website or placing an order, you’re agreeing to the terms below.

2. Our Products

We take great care in sourcing and presenting everything you’ll find here. Many of our pieces, particularly antiques and vintage finds, are one-of-a-kind and may carry gentle signs of age. These marks are part of their story and charm.

All descriptions and photographs aim to be as accurate as possible, but please remember that colours may vary slightly depending on your screen.


3. Ordering & Payment

Once you’ve placed an order, you’ll receive a confirmation email. This doesn’t mean it’s accepted just yet , we’ll check everything is in stock and ready, and then dispatch your parcel with care.

Payment is taken securely via our website at the time of ordering. We accept most major cards and other payment methods shown at checkout.

If for any reason we’re unable to fulfil your order (for example, if something sells out at the same time online and in store), we’ll be in touch straight away and issue a full refund.


4. Delivery

We usually dispatch orders within 1 to 3 working days. Once it’s on its way, you’ll receive a confirmation with tracking details where available.

We currently deliver within the UK (and sometimes further afield - please contact us if you're overseas). Delivery times vary depending on location and service chosen.


5. Returns

If something’s not quite right, you’re welcome to return it within 30 days of receiving your order. Simply email us at shop@cookandbutler.co.uk to arrange a return.

Items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging. You’ll be responsible for return postage unless the item is damaged or incorrect.

Please note that vintage, antique, and made-to-order pieces may be non-returnable, we’ll always make this clear on the product page. Items which have been discounted cannot be returned.


6. Faulty or Damaged Items

Everything is checked carefully before it leaves us, but if your item arrives damaged or isn’t as described, let us know within 3 days of delivery. A quick photo and your order number helps us put things right quickly.


7. Content & Copyright

All images, product descriptions, and content on this site belong to Cook & Butler (Trading) Ltd. Please don’t reproduce or use anything without permission,  we work hard to create and curate everything you see here.


8. Liability

We can’t be held responsible for any indirect losses, or delays caused by things out of our hands (such as postal strikes or weather disruptions). That said, we’ll always do our best to make things right.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, or limits our responsibility for anything we’re legally liable for (such as fraud or personal injury caused by negligence).


9. Your Privacy

We treat your personal information with the same care we treat our products. You can read more about how we use and protect your data in our Privacy Policy.


10. Updates to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website, and by continuing to use the site, you’re agreeing to any changes.
