When purchasing from Cook & Butler, we want your experience to be as smooth and considered as the goods we deliver. The terms below outline how we will provide our products, what happens should anything go awry, and your rights and responsibilities as a customer.

Placing an Order

You may place your order through our website or, if preferred, by calling us directly. Full payment (including delivery) is required at checkout. You may also redeem gift cards by entering your unique code at the appropriate stage.

Once we accept your order, we will send a confirmation email, at this point, a contract is formed between you and Cook & Butler. If for any reason we are unable to fulfil your order, we will notify you and you will not be charged.

For international orders or bespoke services, please contact us to discuss shipping costs or customised options.

All payments are processed in Pounds Sterling (GBP).

Delivery

Our delivery services are thoughtfully designed to suit both pace and care.

UK Mainland

  • Standard Delivery: £6 (3 to 5 working days)

  • Next Working Day: £9 (order before 2pm)

  • DPD Ship to Store: £8 (collect from a local point)

Large or Fragile Items

For furniture or delicate pieces:

  • Delivery: £55

  • Timeframe: 10 to 14 working days

  • Made-to-order: 8 to 10 weeks, unless otherwise stated

This includes white-glove delivery to a room of your choice and removal of packaging if required. Please ensure access is suitable ahead of delivery.

International Delivery (Guide Prices)

  • Northern Ireland: £20

  • Ireland, Channel Islands, British Isles: £20

  • EU: £45

  • US, Canada & Rest of World: from £45

International furniture delivery requires a custom quote, please contact our care team to arrange. 

Returns & Exchanges

We hope your order is just what you had in mind. However, if you need to return something, we’ve made it as straightforward as possible.

Our 30-Day Returns Window

You have 30 days from receipt to decide. Simply submit a return request via our online portal. We’ll email you a postage label and details for your nearest drop-off point.

  • Return Fee (UK Mainland): £6 (deducted from refund)

  • Furniture Returns: £55 (collection by courier)

  • International Returns: Please contact us for instructions

We kindly ask you to return all items in their original packaging, unused and in good condition. We are not currently able to offer free returns unless the product is faulty.

If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault within 30 days, please let us know and we’ll replace or refund it in line with your legal rights.

Gift Vouchers, jewellery and food items are non-returnable. The sale of discounted items is final.

Cancellations

If you change your mind before dispatch, simply let us know and we’ll cancel the order.
If your order has already been sent, please follow the returns process.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from receiving your goods to notify us if you wish to cancel. You must return the goods within a further 14 days.

Product Care & Responsibility

Ownership of a product passes to you once full payment is received and delivery completed. From this point on, care of the item becomes your responsibility. Many of our pieces are made from natural materials and will bear the gentle hallmarks of their origin, slight variations in tone or grain are not flaws, but rather part of their character.

If you need guidance on care or suitability, our team is always happy to advise.

Bespoke & Made-to-Order Items

Some items may be tailored to your preferences, such as upholstered furniture in your chosen fabric. In these cases, returns are only accepted for items that are faulty or do not match the agreed specification. Please note: it is your responsibility to ensure the correct quantity of fabric is ordered.

Terms & Conditions for FOUND Items

Our FOUND pieces are one-of-a-kind carefully sourced vintage and antique finds, each with their own character, history, and imperfections. These items are offered in the spirit of reuse and preservation, and we take care to describe and photograph them as accurately as possible.

All FOUND items are sold as seen and are non-returnable. We do not accept returns or exchanges on second-hand, vintage, or antique pieces unless the item arrives damaged in transit.

Signs of age are to be expected. These are part of the story, whether it's a weathered patina, a worn surface, or the irregular charm of handmade details.

By purchasing from the FOUND collection, you acknowledge that the item is second-hand and sold in its current condition.
